MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER!


Greetings  in the name of Lord Jesus Christ !              

                                                          2000  Years ago there was a son of God called Jesus Christ.  He was moved with compassion when he saw the blind, sick, deaf and the crippled. He   healed  them by touch or a  word .He loved children, destitute women and blessed them.But  those days were gone and Now a days  in different circumstances the disabled, Children , widows, the sick, the elder and other section people denied opportunities for growth and social advancement.

In this situation,I  inspired by the word of Jesus and I have established Joseph Educational Association for the Deaf, (JEAD ) and Mother School for the Deaf at Amalapuram in konaseema area  of East Godavari District in ANDHRA PRADESH and provided education, vocational training and hostel facilities to the hearing impaired children.

JEAD also  protecting widows, orphan children and the elderly People by  providing shelter, food and clothing, medical aid to the sick and the needy people.

 JEAD conducting many  awareness programmes  on different issues in the society with the people whose lives are dominated by  more poverty, illiteracy, ill- health and disabled.JEAD has started adult  Literacy programme in the villages of down-trodden and neglected and helped to raise the level of social status and also brought awareness in health,,hygenie ,sanitation and  eradicating the illiteracy through literacy program-mes.

I am very happy to inform that JEAD promoting human rights and dignity in order to achieve its mission irrespective of caste, creed, religion and I pray to GOD  to prosperous it and to grow it from strength to strength to a  higher place.

ABOUT JEAD

        JOSEPH EDUCATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE DEAF (JEAD) has been established in the year  1994  UNDER SOCITIES  REGISTRATION ACT XXI OF 1860 with  registerd NO 99 of 1994  at tirupathi ,  chittoor district in   Andhra Pradesh, lndia. JEAD have 12A REGISTRATION  no H.Qrs.No.I (661)/9-9/TPT dated 16-03-1995 of INCOME TAX  and FCRA NO is 010140197

JEAD operates  its Activities in CHITTOOR and EAST GODAWARI districts of Andhrapradesh. JEAD  currently implementing different welfare and developing programmes with the funding Support from government of india,, seva bharathi ,Mission india, CASA Chennai ,- AYJNIHH,Mumbai,Ministry of Socail Justice and Empoerment ,Government of India   and Local donors.The emphasis of most of these programmes is women, child and Disable  development.

However JEAD serves  all these   section of the people who deserve services, designed its progammes to suit the requirements of different positions in the existing life and programmes are implementing  in over 390 villages ,serving 3000 population in 2 districts.Thorough these programmes JEAD belives in community  participation.  JEAD   identified with social apostate right from the inception of the Society, it carries on a number of activities in different parts of A.P. in collaboration with the central government and non-governmental organizations.

Development through  JEAD

Poverty is a social phenomenon and the approach to eradicate it required  co-ordinated participation of all organizations both Government and Non-Governmental orgaizations , the neglected people are unaware of the system which inhibit the road to progress and issues of the working people both in rural and urban .

  JEAD for the last 23 years committed action in the education sector has always responded to the needs of the poor Hearing impaired children

JEAD  is  one the the   organization which functioning in kona-seema area which is consisting of 16 mandals and one municipality in Amalapuram division in the Esat Godavari district. .JEAD  has established to create education and training to the poo rand  needy hearing impaired children in konaeema area and also providing clothing, lodging and boarding to the poor hearing impaired in 16 mandals i.e more than 390 villages. 

JEAD has established adult literacy programme in puttur division,  chittoor district.This literacy programme helping to learn writing, reading  simple aurthatic and also bringing awareness on health, hygiene and sanitation in villages helping to raise level of social status and improve  moral and ethical values especially in poor villages, providing shelter, clothing  facilities  to orphan children, widows and aged people  .

Empowerment of the marginalized people of society, especially the Financially backward women, children,  the disable through a process of awareness, organizational and collective action exclusively for raising the social, political, economic, cultural and health status as well as promotion of environment.

  • To Contribute to the micro enter prise developemt imitiatives through SHG.Organizing Women, Integrated Development (WID) Programme Creating awareness with regarding to the rights of people with special attention to Dalit / Tribal Communities.
  • To Establish and maintain rehabilitation centers for HIV/AIDA, Physically Challenged children, aged people, leprosy, etc., Undertake developmental activities for the betterment of the villages.
  • To Promote community health and family welfare by encourage and establish THRIFT Programme among rural women.
  • To Involve in the programs of central Governmental and Non-Governmental agencies to eradicate child labor and street children.
  • To establish home for Women in difficult circumstances and to encourage counsel to instill self-confidence and to  teach  a skill   as to insert them into the stream of the society.

 Future Action planfor which assistance is required

 A Hi-Tech- town  near tirupati , chittoor  distric  ,Aandhra pradesh, south India is under proposal to accommodate all categories of challenged people that Is disabled, destitute women, orphan children, aged people (senior citizens ), widows, street children, child labourand ,HIV aftected children.this complex could accommodate nearly 1200 beneficiaries of all above said categories and 25 bedded hospital to provide medical aid, physiotherapy, speech theraphy and senior citizenes home to accommodate 120 people with attached both rooms and  cottage type.This Hi-Tech- town should have all the services like education, lodging, medical aid, food, skill development Rehabilitation and recreational facilities could be provided at free of cost .
